Professional prop maker Eric Hart wanted to give his sick son a memorable first Halloween, even inside a hospital's neonatal intensive care unit. So with the nurses' permission, Hart made his son -- who had been hospitalized since his premature birth in July -- a cuddly and comfy Iron Man costume.

"Our son has spent his entire life in the hospital," Hart said in a video. "For his first Halloween, he needed a costume that would help him feel brave. Why not Iron Man?"

Hart found an Iron Man paper helmet pattern online and scaled it down to a smaller baby's size. He transferred the pattern to red and yellow foam, then hot-glued the pieces together to assemble the helmet. The rest of the baby Iron Man costume is made from yellow fabric and a red onesie.

"I came up with Iron Man because he's been hooked up to all those machines and wires, and that's similar to what Iron Man went through," Hart told TODAY.com.

Baby Collier only wore the Iron Man costume for a minute, just long enough for Hart to shoot the video and take pictures for the family. The sense of courage probably stayed longer!
